On the corner of Knyaz Alexander Dondukov Blvd. and Budapest St. in Sofia rises an unusual five-storey building built in the distant 1881. Currently, the building retains its authentic appearance in the style of "neo-baroque". Its distinctive feature is the angular round bay window tower, ending with a dome in the shape of a truncated cone with a wrought iron railing resembling a crown. This building is still known today as "the house of Prof. Ivan Gergov".

And although the plot was owned by the professor and a prominent Bulgarian philosopher, he himself never inhabited this house. Over the years, the building became known as "Teteven Inn", named after the eponymous street "Tetevenska", which later received the name "Budapest". The owners of the inn were Prof. Gergov's daughter and her husband.
